Mercedes Asorey

Litigation Director

With over 20 years of specialization in legal communication and marketing, Mercedes has extensive experience in legal information and has served as a communications director in prominent law firms.

She worked as a legal and court information editor in the Economy section of Diario Expansión, for which she received the Journalism Award granted by the Illustrious Bar Association of Madrid (ICAM) in 2002. She also worked as a court news editor in media outlets such as Cadena Cope.

Furthermore, she has led business development, communication, and marketing departments in well-known law firms in Spain. She designed and was responsible for implementing the communication plans for Uría Menéndez from 2002 to 2008, and for DLA Piper Spain from 2011 to 2017. She also has experience in the public sector, where she served as chief of staff in the Community of Madrid. Currently, she is a professor of Corporate Communication at UNIR and Co-Chair of the Communication and Law section at ICAM. Mercedes holds a Law degree, a PDD from IESE Business School, and is an expert in digital marketing from UNED.
