Does being more informed today mean being better informed?<\/p>\n<div class=\"tlid-input input\">\n<div class=\"source-wrap\">\n<div class=\"input-full-height-wrapper tlid-input-full-height-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"source-input\">\n<div class=\"source-footer-wrap source-or-target-footer\">\n<div class=\"character-count tlid-character-count\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"source-footer\">\n<div class=\"speech-wrap source-or-target-footer-button left-positioned\">\n<div id=\"gt-speech\" class=\"speech-button goog-toolbar-button goog-toolbar-button-disabled\" role=\"button\" aria-label=\"Choose a specific language to enable voice input\" data-tooltip-align=\"t,c\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-disabled=\"true\" data-tooltip=\"Choose a specific language to enable voice input\"><span title=\"\">The problem of disinformation has now been labelled as something that seems impossible to understand through current reproduction mechanisms.<\/span> It's a<span class=\"\" title=\"\">s if a kind of collective empathy were developing around the disappointment of being informed, as if the individual sensation of being more and better informed than ever was the collective recognition that greater education and a life with more possibilities of choice imply<\/span> <span class=\"\" title=\"\">paradoxically, a better understanding of our limitations as civilization, culture and society.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em><strong>UnfakingNews<\/strong><\/em> presents itself with the aim of explaining, exploring and contextualizing this new phenomenon in which along with the semantic umbrella that has been constructed in recent years around the concept of fake news, other similar curiosities have started to appear in the form of <strong>misinformation, post-truth, alternative facts, echo chambers, filter bubbles, clickbait and content farms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To understand how we arrived at the current situation, we must analyse the relationship between the media and technology companies akin to that of a\u00a0<em>technolocal village<\/em>in which large corporations have become agents of power at the local level and mirrors of reality on a global level. As a consequence of this artificial symbiosis, we can see this effect reflected on the relationship between voters and consumers of information, the role of segmented advertising and big data; as well as the consequences that this Big Brother of Marketing has on the progress and improvement of the democratic quality of our societies.<\/p>\n<p>It has become impossible to try to set this this scenario apart from the two great political agents who create, distribute and collide around information wars of the 21st century, the USA. and Russia. However, beyond its political component, disinformation has a clear economic objective.
