{"id":18436,"date":"2020-05-25T13:15:56","date_gmt":"2020-05-25T11:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/proacomunicacion.es\/?p=18436"},"modified":"2020-05-25T13:15:56","modified_gmt":"2020-05-25T11:15:56","slug":"confining-viruses-not-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/proacomunicacion.es\/en\/confinar-virus-no-personas\/","title":{"rendered":"Confine viruses, not people"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This sentence makes sense, as does the reflection that in historic epidemics <strong>was confined to the sick, not the healthy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I am surprised how little radical feminism has publicised the success of the excellent political leaders who have managed to dominate COVID-19 in their countries with some of the world's best results in the two fundamental criteria: health and economics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You are at <strong>successful political leaders<\/strong> deserve to be <strong>recognised<\/strong>. They are Prime Ministers Tsai Ing-wen (Taiwan), Jacinda Arden (New Zealand), Sanna Marin (Finland), Angela Merkel (Germany), Katrin Jacobsd\u00f3ttir (Iceland), Erna Solberg (Norway) and Helle Thorning-Smichdt (Denmark).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What was his strategy? Not to engage in ideology, but to govern by using <strong>the successful triad: testing, isolating those infected and tracing the contacts of those infected, <\/strong>that <strong>serves to confine the viruses and the infected persons<\/strong>. From the outset, they imposed the immediate closure of borders, the use of masks and the carrying out of PCR tests. They have also made use of so-called Noah's Arks (such as hotels in Madrid) to avoid congesting hospitals with non-serious cases, provision of medical instruments, protection with appropriate equipment for health workers and special professionals, special attention to vulnerable populations, and limited confinement measures.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>It would be cruel to make comparisons<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Naturally <strong>this is all in hindsight<\/strong> and it is very comfortable to give an opinion when the facts are in and you can compare the strategies of the different countries and their results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But how envious are those who, when it was announced that the bull was coming, entered the bullring as a precaution and from there took good foresight measures (including having from the very first day <strong>enough <em>stocks<\/em><\/strong> of masks, tests, epis, sanitary equipment etc.) and chose the successful strategy. Congratulations to those politicians who got it right on the advice of truly competent and independent experts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And what a pity for those who, when it was announced that the bull was coming, did not take any notice, demonstrating irresponsibly, not taking the necessary precautions to prevent it from coming. <em>stocks<\/em>. Naturally the bull charged them. It charged us.
