{"id":44735,"date":"2025-07-03T07:54:31","date_gmt":"2025-07-03T07:54:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/proacomunicacion.es\/?p=44735"},"modified":"2025-07-03T14:04:53","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T14:04:53","slug":"proa-comunicacion-participates-in-the-debate-on-disinformation-at-the-ateneo-de-madrid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/proacomunicacion.es\/en\/proa-comunicacion-participa-en-el-debate-sobre-desinformacion-en-el-ateneo-de-madrid\/","title":{"rendered":"PROA Comunicaci\u00f3n takes part in the debate on disinformation at the Ateneo de Madrid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/luisbarreda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Luis Barreda<\/a><\/strong>account manager at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/proacomunicacion.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PROA Communication<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and member of the Advisory Board of the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fundacioncomunicandofuturo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Communicating the Future Foundation<\/a><\/strong>was in charge of moderating the second round table of the conference on disinformation held at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ateneodemadrid.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Madrid Athenaeum<\/strong><\/a>The event was part of a series of meetings organised by the foundation itself and the Information and Communication section of the Athenaeum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session brought together leading professionals in the field of communication:&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/carolinamiyata\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carolina Miyata<\/a><\/strong>Prodigioso Volc\u00e1n, executive managing partner at Prodigioso Volc\u00e1n;&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/alberto-fernandez-comunicacion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alberto Fern\u00e1ndez Parr\u00f3n<\/a><\/strong>Director of Communications at MSD Animal Health; and&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/amaiacelorrio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amaia Celorrio<\/a><\/strong>Director of Communication of the Spanish Committee of UNHCR. During the meeting, the effects that disinformation has on reputation, corporate culture and public trust in companies, institutions and third sector organisations were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The speakers agreed that misinformation has become a growing risk factor, the speed at which it spreads often exceeding the organisations' capacity to react.
