{"id":7899,"date":"2017-11-30T14:07:00","date_gmt":"2017-11-30T13:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/proacomunicacion.es\/?p=7899"},"modified":"2017-11-30T14:07:00","modified_gmt":"2017-11-30T13:07:00","slug":"proa-comunicacion-collaborates-in-the-presentation-of-the-book-la-prestacion-servicios-sanitarios-relacion-juridica-consumo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/proacomunicacion.es\/en\/proa-comunicacion-colabora-la-presentacion-del-libro-la-prestacion-servicios-sanitarios-relacion-juridica-consumo\/","title":{"rendered":"Proa Comunicaci\u00f3n collaborates in the presentation of the book 'La prestaci\u00f3n de servicios sanitarios como relaci\u00f3n jur\u00eddica de consumo'."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proa Comunicaci\u00f3n has collaborated in the presentation of the book 'La prestaci\u00f3n de servicios sanitarios como relaci\u00f3n jur\u00eddica de consumo' (The provision of health services as a legal consumer relationship).<em>\u2018<\/em>This is the first work in Spanish doctrine which comprehensively addresses the study of the legal-healthcare relationship from the perspective of Consumer Law, and which demonstrates that the user of healthcare services is a special consumer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The presentation of the work, written by <strong>Joaqu\u00edn Cay\u00f3n, <\/strong>Head of the Legal Advice Service of the Regional Ministry of Health of Cantabria and Doctoral Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Cantabria, took place at the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation. The following took part in the event <strong>Francisco Mar\u00edn Cast\u00e1n, <\/strong>President of the First Chamber of the Supreme Court; <strong>Red Angel<\/strong>Professor of Commercial Law at the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid; and <strong>Jorge Tomillo<\/strong>Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Cantabria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During their speeches, the presenters emphasised that the work provides pioneering foundations in the techniques of legal protection of patients. They also emphasised that the study takes a novel approach to medical liability, one of the most frequent legal battlefronts in civil and contentious-administrative proceedings. Finally, it was emphasised that the monograph opens the door to a comprehensive rather than partial examination of the provision of health services from the perspective of the rules of consumer legal protection.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7901\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7901\" style=\"width: 1030px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/proacomunicacion.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Presentacion-Libro-2.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7901 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/proacomunicacion.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Presentacion-Libro-2-1030x691.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1030\" height=\"691\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7901\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">From left to right: Daniel Tejada, Director of Publications and Training at Thomson Reuters; Francisco Mar\u00edn Cast\u00e1n, President of the First Chamber of the Supreme Court; \u00c1ngel Rojo, Professor of Commercial Law at the Autonomous University of Madrid; Jorge Tomillo, Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Cantabria; and Joaqu\u00edn Cay\u00f3n, Head of the Legal Advisory Service of the Regional Ministry of Health of Cantabria and Doctoral Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Cantabria.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Throughout the more than 600 pages of the book, <strong>Joaqu\u00edn Cay\u00f3n<\/strong> examines the most recent pre-legislative trends affecting the matter (Preliminary Draft of the Commercial Code of 2014 and Proposal for the Civil Code of 2016) and analyses other legal models from foreign systems.
