-- Solintal Sailing Team, runner-up in the 37th Prince of Asturias J80 Trophy

The Solintal Sailing Team, with the sports sponsorship of PROAhas climbed to the second step of the podium of the 37th Prince of Asturias Trophy in the J80 category held last weekend in Galician waters. Organised by Monte Real Club de Yates de Bayona and the Escuela Naval Militar, the trophy had more than 30 units registered in the category.

The three days of testing were particularly marked by the wind, whose absence prevented the first day from taking place. However, the wind increased throughout the weekend, which allowed the boats to go out. During all the days the Solintal Sailing Team was very competitive and stable in the different races, managing to stay in second position at the end of both days.

"This trophy is one of the most important regatta trophies in Spain, with a long tradition and where the best crews come together. We are happy with our performance, we have been fighting for first place and the boat has performed well in the different wind conditions", acknowledges Armando Gutiérrez Mendoza, owner of the Solintal Sailing Team.

The communications consultancy firm joined this regatta team, twice World Champion, in June in its commitment to sponsorship as a lever for connecting the values transmitted by sport with the company's stakeholders. And it continues its commitment to the Solintal Sailing Team's preparation for the Spanish Championship.

"This regatta is a very good preparation for the Spanish Championship that will be held in these same waters of Baiona on 16/18 September. It helps us to get to know the regatta course, the dynamics of the judges and to prepare better for the Championship, one of the most important on this year's calendar, where we will be looking to repeat our podium finish", he concludes.
