The Spanish Federation of Women Managers, Executives, Professionals and Businesswomen (Fedepe) presented the awards to all its winners on Wednesday at the XXVI edition of the Fedepe AwardsThe awards were presented to companies, organisations and the media that have promoted and encouraged the role of women in the workplace. The award ceremony was attended by Valvanuz Serna and Lucía Casanueva, managing partners of Proa Comunicación.
The awards ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) in Madrid and was attended by the State Secretary for Employment, Juan Pablo Riesgoof the president of Fedepe, Ana Bujaldón, and of the President of the CSIC, Emilio Loraamong other personalities from the world of business, politics, culture and finance.
In this issue, the winners wereGoogle Spain and Portugal, Fuencisla Clemares; the designer Purificación García; the Spanish Women's Basketball Team; the founder of Clarity, Rebeca Minguela; Vodafone for the 'Reconnect' project; the journalist, María Escario, and the co-founder of Guernica37, Almudena Bernabéu.
These awards began in 1989 and, since then, they have become an important date in the calendar of women entrepreneurs and managers in Spain, of companies and institutions and of society in general. The Fedepe Awards have thus become an important event in the calendar of effective tool to make women's leadership and management more visible. With them, the Federation invites society to work hand in hand to achieve a professional and employment scenario worthy of the skills and qualifications of women who have the will to manage and lead.
