AEDyR relies on PROA Comunicación to strengthen its communication strategy

The Spanish Association of Desalination and Reuse (AEDyR)which has been a leader in the desalination and water reuse sector in Spain for 25 years, has selected PROA Communication to develop and execute its communication strategy. PROA Communication will be responsible for reinforcing its positioning as a benchmark and voice of the industry for technological and sustainable solutions to the water challenge in Spain.

This situation requires taking measures in which desalination and water reuse can play a fundamental role. AEDyR was created in 1998 to bring together the different companies in the sector, as a result of the interest aroused by Spanish desalination technology as a consequence of the holding of the Congress of the International Desalination Association (IDA) in Madrid. Subsequently, the Association was admitted as a full member with the same status as other associations at continental level, such as the European Desalination Society and the American Desalination Association.

Its purpose, according to its statutes, is to "promote the appropriate use of seawater and brackish water desalination and the reuse of reclaimed wastewater, thus contributing to the sustainable management of water resources". To this end, the organisation of meetings that bring together the actors in the sector, the defence of its interests before its stakeholders and the dissemination of its new developments are the pillars of its mission.

In this sense, PROA Communication will, with this long-term alliance, be a key strategic partner. in the planning, development and implementation of the institutional and communication activities of AEDyR.
