Lucía Casanueva, founding partner of Proa Comunicaciónwas a member of the jury of the "Woman Leader 2019" awards, which unanimously elected Adriana Domínguez, CEO of Adolfo Domínguez, as "Woman Leader 2019".
Adriana Domínguez is currently leading the renewal of the designer fashion brand, which has enabled the company to achieve its first operating result (+1.2M euros) since 2011. The award ceremony was part of the 14th Women and Leadership Forum held at the headquarters of the law firm DLA Piper.
The jury highlighted the career and professional achievements of the executive, as well as her markedly humanistic character. Since July 2017, the executive has led the transformation of Adolfo Domínguez, first as Managing Director and later as CEO. The new management of the company has achieved, in the last two years, an increase of 26% in comparable sales, an improvement of 255% in the stock market price, online sales growth of 80% and a return to operating profits, after improving its Ebitda by 107%.

Long-standing experience
Adriana Domínguez González has been CEO of the Adolfo Domínguez group since May 2018. In July 2017 she had already been appointed CEO and top executive of the company. Previously, she had served as Director, Brand Director of Perfumes and Director of Communications.
She speaks five languages and holds degrees in International Business Studies from ICADE and CESEM (France) and The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York. She holds a Master's Degree in Thought from the Escuela Contemporánea de Humanidades in Madrid. She has a deep knowledge of the company in which she has led, for 17 years, several projects in different business areas such as the design of the company's concept stores or the creation of five capsule collections of the women's fashion line.
