Mercedes Asorey, Head of Litigation Communications, PROA

Mercedes Asorey will be the new head of the PROA's Litigation Communication Department. With more than 20 years of specialisation in legal marketing and communication, Mercedes has extensive experience in legal information and has been director of communication in relevant law firms.

His knowledge of the legal aspects and the news interest in judicial matters will provide the keys to design a defined strategy in the communication of client litigation. In this way, he joins a team with experience in corporate communications and sectoral, complementary aspects for comprehensive advice on judicial matters.

Bio 

Graduate in Law. Mercedes Asorey has managed the business development, communication and marketing departments of well-known law firms in Spain (Uría Menéndez, DLA Piper Spain and Gómez-Acebo & Pombo). She designed and was responsible for the implementation of the communication plans of Uría Menéndez from 2002 to 2008 and of DLA Piper Spain from 2011 to 2017.

She was a legal and court news editor in the Economy section of the newspaper Expansión, for which she received the legal journalism prize awarded by the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) in 2002. She was also a news editor, court section, in media such as Cadena Cope. In addition, she has experience in the Administration, where she was head of cabinet in the Community of Madrid. She is currently a lecturer in corporate communication at UNIR and Co-President of the Communication and Law section of ICAM.

Mercedes holds a PDD from IESE Business School and is an expert in digital marketing from UNED.
