Proa Comunicación collaborates, for the second consecutive year, in the organisation of the MADRID VAT FORUM.the most influential Spanish congress in the field of intra-community VAT. In addition to managing the media relations and the communication office of the congress, Proa has also developed the landing page, through which tickets can be purchasedand the presentation video.
In recent years, the so-called Common System of VAT has been subject to a series of amendments at Community level, the main objectives of which are to harmonise certain aspects of the indirect taxation of e-commerce, to combat fraud and to propose a series of solutions to facilitate intra-Community trade in goods. Some of these amendments have already been approved and others are currently in the negotiation phase pending final approval.
MADRID VAT FORUM 2020 will be held on Thursday 13 February 2020. in the auditorium of the Press Association of Madrid (Calle Juan Bravo, 6). This event will present and discuss the main changes and modifications recently proposed in the field of intra-Community VAT.
In addition, other issues that have always been the subject of controversy will be discussed, such as the confrontation between the formal requirements and the exercise of the right to deduct input VAT or the VAT treatment of holding companies.
Finally, the impact that the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union will have on VAT will be analysed and a review will be made of the recent case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union on VAT. Furthermore, the way in which all of this will affect the activity of companies involved in international trade and their relationship with the different tax administrations.
