A spirit of dialogue

Last week saw the closing of the World Economic Forum in Davos which this year had the title: A spirit of dialogue. This title, full of good intentions, confronts with the stark reality of an increasingly unstable geopolitical environment, The EU, marked by open conflict, the lncreation of a parallel UN by Trump and a growing mistrust between countries.

The quintessential meeting of the world's financial, business and political elites provides clues as to how the world works today: the global economy and markets are looking very strong. This tells us that they seem to have learned to cancel out the noise: both geopolitical and political by focusing exclusively on data. 

Another issue discussed at Davos 2026 was the mental health. Scientist Alice Evans has pointed out that the Americans and Europeans in their 20s are now spending so much time alone as men in their 70s. Alarming data that puts us in the eye of the beholder. the loss of empathy.
