Proa Comunicación advises the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation on the communication of its XII Scientific Conferences

Proa Comunicación has advised the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation in the communication of its XII Scientific Conference, which brought together in Madrid on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th October "the most expert and knowledgeable professionals" on the mental health of children between 6 and 12 years old, in the words of the scientific coordinator of the conference, Dr. María Concepción Guisasola. Experts who, in various round tables and conferences, have addressed all aspects of this vital period.

Middle childhood is a stage that, as Dr Guisasola pointed out at the opening ceremony, "plays an important role in a child's healthy development towards maturity". "For some authors, children in middle childhood definitely experience almost daily physical, cognitive, social and emotional changes, and the indicators of their success are their secure attachments, satisfying relationships and effective coping skills," she pointed out as she explained in detail the reasons that led the organising committee to analyse this topic in depth.

During the opening day, three round tables were held on 'The world of children', 'Cognitive development in childhood' and 'Neurodevelopmental disorders', as well as the fellows' conference, which, on this occasion, was given by Dr. Lorena Fernández de la Cruz, a clinical psychologist, currently working at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, who spoke on 'Risk factors and adverse consequences in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)'.
