Fernando Matesanz: "Communication is a fundamental aspect of the Madrid VAT Forum".

Fernando Matesanz, Managing Director of Spanish VAT Services, evaluates in this video the results of the Madrid VAT Forum 2020, the second edition of the VAT congress promoted by his office and organised, on this occasion, together with Thomson Reuters. Matesanz, very satisfied with the response of the speakers and the high rate of participation, highlights the importance that communication has had in the success of the event: "Without good communication, it would not reach so many people, it is a fundamental part of the Madrid VAT Forum"..

A congress focused, in the words of its promoter, "on a living tax, with high collection power... and very complicated" and in which the aim of informing about all the legislative news related to VAT was fulfilled, while other controversial issues of great importance for the experts were addressed.

Specifically, the Madrid VAT Forum 2020 focused on the recent directives on this tax and those currently in force, the situation of fraud, the Brexit, the future of indirect taxation of e-commerce and issues that have always been the subject of controversy, such as the confrontation between formal requirements and the exercise of the right to deduct input VAT or the VAT treatment of holding companies. The final point was the analysis of the most recent case law of the European Court of Justice.

Other very serious cases were treated in the ICU, 2,500. And, attention, they died from the...

Paper governments

I don't know about you, but I have the feeling of being trapped inside the series "La casa de papel", where the objective is to buy time to keep printing banknotes. Our paper governments dizzy us mercilessly to keep manufacturing votes. We should have known that the day the US elected president...

The resurgence of China is a well-known fact. Three facts are enough to illustrate this: the Asian giant accounts for 16.5% of the world economy, it is the recipient of 35% of the European Union's exports and in terms of purchasing power parity it is already the world's leading economy....

Physical exercise and the brain

The brain, like muscles, malleable, plastic, can atrophy when it is not trained. Physical exercise is an antidepressant, anxiolytic and through the release of endorphins that it produces, it raises self-esteem, well-being, positive thoughts and is a poly-pill that prevents many illnesses. Physical exercise produces the...
