The Secretary of State for Economy and Business Support, Irene Garridoyesterday morning in an informative breakfast organised by Executive Forum, sponsored by the Club Excelencia en Gestión and Ibercaja. During the meeting, held at the Palace Hotel in Madrid, Garrido analysed issues such as the economic recovery and evolution and the growth of the Eurozone.
Alberto Durán, President of the Excellence in Management Clubwas in charge of opening the meeting and welcoming the attendees. Irene Garrido began his speech by referring to "the current stage of vigorous international growth", stressing that Europe has become one of the driving forces behind the development of the global economy, with Spain being one of the key players. In this sense, he said that this is a balanced, sustained and much more outward-looking growth. Finally, the Secretary of State responded to questions from the audience in relation to the recent appointment of Luis de Guindos as Vice-President of the European Central Bank by recognising that "I don't see myself as a minister at all"..
