Irene Garrido: "At least two more years of economic growth are needed to recover pre-crisis employment levels".

The Secretary of State for Economy and Business Support, Irene Garridoyesterday morning in an informative breakfast organised by Executive Forum, sponsored by the Club Excelencia en Gestión and Ibercaja. During the meeting, held at the Palace Hotel in Madrid, Garrido analysed issues such as the economic recovery and evolution and the growth of the Eurozone.

Garrido also analysed national growth in particular, mentioning the improved credit certification and acknowledging that "we hope that other agencies will be able to rating recognise the good performance of the Spanish economy in the near future, as Fitch did last month". In this sense, he said that this is a balanced, sustained and much more outward-looking growth. Finally, the Secretary of State responded to questions from the audience in relation to the recent appointment of Luis de Guindos as Vice-President of the European Central Bank by recognising that "I don't see myself as a minister at all"..
