Millennials versus Boomers

When the children of your first colleagues start arriving in the company, you experience mixed feelings. After the fond memories of your first professional steps, you are alarmed to realise that the children you saw in the cradle are already here.

At the same time that I am facing this new experience, I see that Merco y Universum The two reports show that Spanish women have been taking wage discrimination into account since university. If a few seconds ago I thought that time was flying, I now doubt whether life goes on as usual...

I am not prepared to fall back on claims. goyescas. With the exception of the three words that came to the fore in the heart and voice of award-winner Jesús Vidal - Diversity, Equality and Visibility - the equality proposals at the Goya Gala were tiresome, if not vulgar.

We have put the zoom feminist in the battle of gender and the front is much more varied. The real champion of the Goya and the best film, Champions, move us by putting the spotlight on the integration of diverse people. With fewer and fewer people suffering from disabilities because in many cases their opportunities end in the womb, survivors deserve more visibility in society, at work, in the cinema...

Although it is not an entirely new phenomenon, new forms of age discrimination are emerging: millennials vs. boomers. We should finally realise that surrounding ourselves with unequal people is more enriching than cloning environments. If not, companies will have to pay an even higher cost than they do today for the deficit of female talent in senior positions.

Yes juniors y seniors join forces, the result of their work will be more creative. By working together, professionals from all generations will bring more added value to a society with an inverted demographic pyramid.

Some companies are going as far as the bipolarity of taking board seats away from experienced professionals because of their age. "We have to rejuvenate the company...", say generation X - born between 1965 and 1979 - and the millennials - 1980 to 1999 -, while sending home the boomers - 1946 to 1965 -.

Excellence is to integrate women and men with equal pay at all levels, people with one chromosome more or less, young and old... In the midst of these paradoxes, it would be cinema The battle for diversity and inclusion in a broad sense.
