PROA Comunicación incorporates Juan Pons to head the new Defence, Aeronautics, Security and Space area.

PROA Communicationa consultancy firm specialising in designing, managing and consolidating the communication and corporate reputation of institutions and companies, as well as of senior executives, has just joined the Colonel Juan Pons to head its new Defence, Aeronautics, Security and Space division.

The newly created area of Defence, Aeronautics, Security and Space (DASE) was created as a result of the prospective analysis carried out by PROA Comunicación, which considers it appropriate to expanding and consolidating its portfolio of services towards the aforementioned four strategic sectors, all of which are closely interrelated and have a high growth potential. Proof of this is the increase in defence budgets, the implementation of the Aerospace PERTE and the recent creation of the Spanish Space Agency.

Juan Pons is retired army colonel with a career of more than 35 years of active service. and continued in the Spanish Armed Forces. A graduate of the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, he has focused his professional military activity in the fields of logistics, teaching and communication. Colonel Pons is also a graduate of the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid and holds a Diploma in Communication from the Ministry of Defence; he is also the founder and first director of the newspaper Periódico Informativo EarthArmy news and features bulletin.

He was also the founder and first editor of the newspaper Weapons and Bodies of the General Military Academy of Zaragoza (AGM), the Army's main academic centre for officer training. It is author of numerous essays, monographs, choral books and articles on aerospace and defence industry in different electronic and paper media, both national and from third countries.

In the field of teaching, Juan Pons has been colonel director of the Military School of Educational Sciences of the Ministry of Defence, as well as Professor of International Relations and Public Communication at the AGM. He was part of the organising team of the International Defence Courses in Jaca (Huesca), a joint initiative of the aforementioned Academy and the University of Zaragoza, where he was Head of Press. He belongs to several professional associations and is a member of the Academy of Military Sciences and Arts.
