UNE relies on PROA to strengthen its communication strategy

The Spanish Association for Standardisation, UNEplaces its trust in PROA for the development and execution of its communication strategy. The consultancy firm will work on improving the positioning and relevance of the association. To this end, PROA will focus on two aspects: on the one hand, it will promote the relevance of regulatory activity and its importance for the Spanish economy and society; on the other hand, it will enhance the brand identity by creating a more visual style resulting in a stronger link between the business sectors and public administrations.

The team of PROA is made up of Juan Ramón Corpasaccount manager, Carlos Magrobrand manager, and Pablo Gasullconsultant.

UNE is the only Standards Body in Spain, designated as such by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism before the European Commission. Its purpose is to draw up standards that help to improve the quality of products and the competitiveness of business sectors through the search for consensus and the creation of spaces for dialogue between the different parties involved.

The association has more than 34,000 standards in force - 85% are European or international -, 12,000 experts and 500 members. Technical standards generate a value equivalent to 1% of Spanish GDP, contribute to improving business productivity by 13% and reduce costs by more than 7%.

For Valvanuz Serna Ruiz y Lucía CasanuevaPROA's managing partners, "UNE has an incalculable value in the development of the Spanish economy and its influence on international trade. At PROA we want to make this message visible through effective, clear and simple communication to strengthen the purpose and consolidate the role of UNE as an exemplary model of public-private collaboration.".

For his part, the general director of UNE, Javier Garcíapoints out that "PROA will be key to increasing the visibility of standardisation among all its stakeholders, promoting new support and making visible the benefits that UNE brings to society.".

With this long-term partnership, PROA design a new communication concept to enable the association to convey and raise awareness of the importance of the rules and their enforcement.
