-- PROA and the President of the Spanish Atlantic Association analyse the present and future of NATO and the current geopolitical situation.

Coinciding with the NATO Summit in Spain (29-30 June 2022), PROA has interviewed the President of the Spanish Atlantic Association (EPA), Adolfo Menéndez. Together with the managing partner, Lucía Casanueva, they have analysed in an informative meeting organised at the Centro Superior de Estudios de la Defensa Nacional (CESEDEN) the present and future of NATO and the current geopolitical situation.

"We are living in a unique moment in the current geostrategic context because of two factors: because of the war in Europe, which we have not had for 70 years, and because countries such as Finland and Sweden, which have historically been neutral towards NATO, have expressed their desire to join the Atlantic Alliance.

Adolfo Menéndez is a prestigious jurist from Gijón, State Lawyer, former Undersecretary of Defence and Public Works and President of the AAE since mid-February of this year. The AAE is the Spanish representative chapter of the Atlantic Alliance in Spain.
