In this interview, Mirian Izquierdo, President of the Woman Forward Foundation, analyses the reasons why the presence of women on the boards of directors has not yet reached the 30% recommended by the CNMV's Code of Good Governance for 2020, as well as the contributions that women can make to organisations from the governing bodies, among which she highlights that "they make organisations more transparent and improve corporate governance". Mirian also explains the main obstacles that women face in accessing top decision-making positions and explains the reasons why her foundation has created the Women Joining Boards (WJB) programme, which aims to create value in companies by promoting female leadership.
