Julia Montorodirector of PROA Communicationparticipated as one of the speakers at the II Women's Leadership Forum organised by the newspaper The Economist. In her speech she pointed out that "the inclusion of women and the management of diversity are the Achilles heel of Spanish business culture. It is the responsibility of all of us who form part of the value chain to do our bit and put an end to this inequality".
In addition, Montoro highlighted the coexistence of professionals of different ages, genders and origins, "which generates a wealth of values, a series of visions and ideas that is unique". However, the director of PROA Comunicación warned that the process will not be quick: "Major social changes take time, and that is what we have to do, give ourselves time, insist on social policies and communicate the progress that is achieved".
This round table was moderated by Carlos Herrero, executive vice-president of WEF Iberoamerica, with the participation, in addition to Montoro, of María Enciso, director of the Cátedra de Empresa Familiar; Patricia Vázquez, director of Communication and Marketing at RIC Energy; Rocío Márquez, WEF advisor; Ana María Salazar, Former Senior Advisor at UN Women, Director of Women's Economic Empowerment Projects; and Francesc Noguera, managing director of Altamira Asset Management.
