Hismael Doval, Deloitte Innovation Managerhas given a workshop on his speciality to the employees of Proa Communication at the agency's headquarters.
"To innovate is to implement a creative idea with the purpose of creating value for customers".he said at the beginning of his speech. By means of a video and questions that required the participation of the audience, he explained what innovation is, why and how to do it, as well as providing illustrative examples of all his premises. From there, he explained that every innovation process involves change, risk, going outside the natural scope of what is known and going beyond the boundaries of the organisation in which one works. to engage with new partners. In addition, he stressed that there needs to be a willingness to set all these processes in motion, "because human beings are not physiologically predisposed to innovation".
In a world that is evolving faster and faster, he saw the need to learn from the past and work in related ecosystems, as well as to observe in order to see opportunities. "from every problem can come an opportunity to innovate".. He also stressed that "combining two ways of thinking can be a source of inspiration".
It concluded with a recipe that combines the terms listening, reading, taking the opportunity to work with others, seeking, being curious, and associating in order to find business opportunities.
Before joining the Deloitte team, Hismael Doval worked for 13 years in the Innovation Department at Deutsche Bank in Geneva and just over a year at the strategy and operations consultancy A Piece of Pie in Barcelona.
