PROA sponsors Solintal Sailing Team in the J80 Spanish Cup

The Solintal Sailing Team, with PROA's sporting sponsorship, has achieved the fifth position in the J80 Spanish Sailing Cup held in Santander last weekend. Immersed in the International Sailing Week City of Santander, the communication consultancy has joined this regatta team, two-time World Champion, in its commitment to sponsorship as a lever of connection between the values that sport transmits and the company's stakeholders.

More than 30 boats competed in the five races that made up the championship organised by the Real Club Marítimo de Santander, which was won by Newind Food. The Solintal Sailing Team, regatta team born in 2007 and with countless victories in national and international regattas, had a good start the first day, reached the final stretch of the Championship fighting for the top positions after a very tight last day finally could not climb the podium.

"For us, having PROA as one of our sponsors for the regatta season has meant a very important support for the sporting project that started a few years ago. The values of teamwork, sacrifice, intensity and companionship typical of the sport of sailing fit very well with the idea that PROA transmits as a company", says Armando Gutiérrez, owner of the Solintal Sailing Team.

A commitment shared by PROA's managing partners, Valvanuz Serna and Lucía Casanueva: "Sponsoring the Solintal Sailing Team was a natural decision for us, as we have always been inspired by the sea. In our daily work at PROA we identify with sailing boats and their ability to adapt to the unpredictable and different conditions they face at sea. A good boat and the effort, discipline and experience of the crew guarantee sailing success.

Thanks to these actions, a brand can boost its notoriety and visibility in the eyes of new target audiences. "Through sports sponsorship, we believe that an emotional connection can be made with the values that the brand wants to transmit, so it is important that the brand feels represented with the activity and raison d'être of the company. Through sponsorship you can reach clients, but also improve your reputation", adds Pablo de Villota, director of PROA's Sports Sponsorship Department.
