Dialogue between industry and geopolitics

This is a defining moment for the defence and security industry. The sustained increase in defence spending by NATO member countries not only responds to an increasingly complex international situation: it opens the door to a structural transformation of the European industrial and technological model, and with it, an unprecedented opportunity for Spanish companies.

In 2025, Spain will spend more than 32 billion euros (2% of GDP) on defence and security. This figure could increase, depending on developments, even to around 3% of GDP in the coming years.

With this, Spain could invest as much as 50 billion euros each year. The need and obligation for states to invest in defence has become an imperative and a decisive factor in guaranteeing the security of their citizens.

This effort should be translated into further technological development, strategic autonomy, quality employment and industrial leadership. We have front a we the possibility of taking the initiative and leading from Spain, and with Spanish companies, this increase in defence capabilities at the European level.
