On 22 March, on the occasion of World Water Day, a charity dinner will be held on the occasion of the "Water Day".Drops for life". This meeting, organised by the Emalaikat Foundation, will take place in the restaurant El invernadero de los Peñotes and will have the collaboration of Proa Communication as a benefactor .
Water is an essential element of sustainable development. Water resources, and the range of services they provide, play a key role in poverty reduction, economic growth and environmental sustainability. Water enables people's well-being and inclusive growth, and has a positive impact on the lives of billions of people, affecting issues such as food and energy security, human health and the environment.
For all these reasons, the United Nations has been celebrating World Water Day every 22nd March for years, to highlight the need to bring water to those most in need. The Emalaikat Foundation's priority is to bring water to Africa; every year they celebrate World Water Day with the campaign "Water for Africa".Drops for Life", with the funds raised going entirely to build a well in Turkana.
The "Drops for Life" campaign is also an exceptional opportunity to get to know first-hand the work of the missionaries of the Community of St. Paul the Apostle and the Emalaikat Foundation in Africawhere, together with local communities, they have built more than 200 dams and ponds and 190 wells, as well as promoting numerous actions for access to drinking water and basic sanitation. "Drops for life" is also a tribute to them and to share this day with them to water many lives together.
