Santiago Culí is a senior executive with over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical sector. Specialising in Public Affairs, Strategic Communication and Patient Advocacy, has established itself as a benchmark in institutional positioning and corporate reputation management in the Spanish healthcare ecosystem, with in-depth knowledge of the markets of Madrid and Barcelona.
His most recent role was as HIV Public Affairs Director at Gilead Sciences, where he defined and implemented the communication strategy for the HIV area. Previously, he served as Communications and Public Affairs Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim, where he managed corporate communications, business units and their therapeutic areas, created the patient association relations function and led the first public affairs strategy. His work was instrumental in aligning corporate interests with the regulatory and social environment, while also acting as a liaison with global headquarters in Germany and Brussels.
He began his professional career in the areas of quality control and marketing, giving him a 360º view of the pharmaceutical business cycle. He currently works as a freelance consultant specialising in Public Affairs and Communication in Healthcare.
He holds a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona and has completed various executive training courses in business at ESADE and in digital technology at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
